Objective: Delta was contacted by Visit Greater Palm Springs’ Australian representation to provide flights to be used in a consumer campaign with Broadsheet Sydney.

Overview: Delta was contacted by Visit Greater Palm Springs’ Australian representation to partner in an online consumer competition with Broadsheet Sydney. A Palm Springs prize package, including airfare and accommodation aligned with the release of Warner Bros’ film “Don’t Worry Darling”, filmed in Palm Springs. Entrants needed to convey in 25 words or less who they were most excited to see in this film and why via an embedded link.

Outcome: Results from Broadsheet’s Win a Trip from Sydney to Greater Palm Springs campaign off the back of the Sydney premier of ‘Don’t Worry Darling’, yielded fantastic results and over delivered on all KPIs. These results demonstrated a strong resonation between Broadsheet’s younger audience demographic, the film and Greater Palm Springs.

Campaign results:

  • The competition article over delivered on page views by 114% (4,000 v. 8584).
  • The Melbourne Instagram post was pinned to the Broadsheet Melbourne account for maximum engagement, delivering 344 likes.
  • There were 1516 entries - a huge result for a weeklong campaign.
