Alvaro Rodas Fernandez GAICD Joins The Walshe Group

The Walshe Group has further strengthened its newly developed C-Suite structure with the appointment of Alvaro Rodas Fernandez GAICD as the organisation’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), effective immediately.

In this newly created role, Rodas Fernandez will be responsible for driving the next phase of The Walshe Group’s new strategic direction.

Rodas Fernandez has extensive experience in the travel industry and in sustainability, delivering strategy, growth, commercial outcomes and partnerships. He spent ten years in senior roles at Qantas working across loyalty, sustainability, and airline partnerships. Rodas Fernandez’s background includes managing global alliance relationships and delivering major commercial and revenue strategies across Qantas’ international network. Most recently, Rodas Fernandez was CCO at RecycleSmart.

Rodas Fernandez’s appointment as CCO forms part of The Walshe Group’s broader expansion of its executive leadership team. The newly established executive features Sonia Cordero as Chief Financial Officer, Jennifer Gaskin as Chief Marketing Officer, and Jacqui Walshe, who earlier this year resumed as CEO and Managing Director as part of the company’s new strategic growth direction.
