Kristine leads the PR strategy across airline and destination clients at The Walshe Group. Responsibilities include developing and distributing media releases; building and managing journalist relationships; pitching story ideas; coordinating media trips; organising and managing events; overseeing reporting and providing senior PR counsel.
She has secured extensive positive coverage in Australian and New Zealand outlets for three high-profile global travel brands, delivered multi-market media events, strengthened media and influencer relationships and led integrated PR campaigns for increased brand visibility.
Recent accomplishments and achievements include:
- NYC Tourism + Conventions: In 2022, the first year after the pandemic, Kristine secured 139 print, digital and broadcast stories reaching 121M+ viewers/readers.
- Delta Air Lines: In 2022, the first year the client had in-market PR, she secured 110 print, digital and broadcast stories reaching 55M viewers/readers.
- Kristine project managed Delta’s partnership of two US-based episodes of the award-winning Australian lifestyle TV show, Travel Guides, reaching a combined 4.6M viewers.
- She promoted Delta’s new inaugural flights to Los Angeles from Auckland (Oct 2023) and Brisbane (Dec 2024). Generated 75 print, digital and broadcast stories reaching 44M+ viewers/readers.
- South African Airways: 2024 marked the airline’s return to Australia after 4 years. Kristine hosted industry events in Australia and New Zealand with 200+ attendees and secured 20 pieces of coverage.
