Jennifer is a creative, strategic and analytical marketing communications specialist with over ten years' experience in the travel and tourism industry. Jennifer started her career in journalism, but now specialises in destination, digital and content marketing and brand strategy.
Jennifer’s first role within The Walshe Group was Country Manager for the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (Australia). Jennifer has led many of the team’s most innovative and highly regarded campaigns. Using her extensive industry experience and a creative approach, she led the team to win Tourism Board of the Year at the 2019 Women in Travel awards.
Jennifer is currently Account Director for Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania, leading a team dedicated to promoting Hawai‘i as a responsible and regenerative tourism destination.
Alongside her extensive trade experience Jennifer has a strong consumer marketing skillset having previously worked on consumer facing campaigns in her past roles. Recently, Jennifer has spent time honing her consumer marketing skills by taking courses in SEO, digital marketing and web design. Her creativity combined with her strong analytical and project management skills make her ideally placed to manage end-to-end campaigns.
Jennifer lives and breathes destination marketing and has a particular interest in responsible tourism and ensuring tourism has a positive impact on local communities and the environment.
Jennifer is also the Founder and Managing Director of Unmapped Travel; a joint venture with The Walshe Group, Unmapped is a travel platform aimed at a community of travellers who want to make a positive impact in the world, one trip at a time.
