The Walshe Group coordinated the 2025 Discover Korea Roadshow in Auckland, featuring 8 Korean DMCs, 15 NZ tour operators, a B2B Travel Mart, a Mini Expo with Korean culture, and a Gala Dinner with Squid Game-inspired games. Recreating challenges from the popular Squid Games TV show was a popular element with travel agents, especially the iconic dalgona candy challenge.

our role

To educate, inspire, and equip New Zealand-based travel professionals with comprehensive knowledge of South Korea’s diverse travel offerings, thereby increasing promotion and sales of Korean tourism products and fostering strong, long-term partnerships between Korean suppliers and New Zealand trade partners. Our goal was not simply to promote Korea, but to immerse guests in hands-on K-Culture experiences. By combining entertainment with cultural elements, we encouraged genuine interaction rather than one-way communication.

The 2025 Discover Korea Roadshow brought together Korean DMCs and New Zealand travel agents in Auckland, creating strong trade connections and showcasing Korea’s unique tourism offerings.
