Sonia is known for her diverse and extensive skill set in the travel industry.  With over 25 years’ experience, Sonia has worked across various segments in the travel industry, including tourism boards and airlines, with more than ten years in airline sales management with United Airlines. She has a strong first-hand knowledge of the travel trade and distribution as well as the media landscape. 

In more recent years, Sonia has developed her expertise in destination management, working with Visit Flanders (Belgium), as well as providing strategic guidance on other tourism accounts and projects including Okinawa and Dubai World Expo 2020.  She is also responsible for new business development and recruitment at The Walshe Group.

Sonia’s skills lie in marketing strategy, writing content, developing stakeholder partnerships and events.  She has a Master of Business Administration from Southern Cross University, NSW. She is an avid reader with a predilection for history, and a penchant for Belgian chocolate and French champagne – best devoured together!
