The Lufthansa Group is a global aviation group headquartered in Germany.

The biggest operating segment in the Lufthansa Group is the Passenger Airline Group. Lufthansa Passenger Airlines, SWISS and Austrian Airlines are network carriers serving the global market and all passenger segments.

In 2014 Lufthansa introduced a new class of travel with its Premium Economy Class for the first time in 35 years. It is part of the largest product upgrade in the history of Lufthansa.

The overhaul of the Group fleet continues as well. Boeing delivers its 1,500thh jumbo jet, “Yankee Papa,” to Lufthansa. The Boeing 747-8 is also the “Siegerflieger” with “Fanhansa” livery which will fly the victorious German national football team home from the World Cup.
